About the project
Echo is a game i designed as dissertation at the MA in Digital Game Design. The design consists of a Game Proposal, Game Design Document, Game Prototype and other accompanying media. Echo is a generative game that proposes a system for world and narrative generation based on the continuous user actions. The role playing game features a young couple trapped on opposite dimensions of the same world in which each action has a strong influence on the other side, the player can take control of each of the two to solve the generated puzzle worlds. By solving the puzzles in their own way, players are able to create a different narrative that in turn branches out as the game continues.
